Try one company-device rule on a Windows computer.

Business device governance is the administration of authorized device rules and usage review. Start with one company Windows computer and an app or website rule your team needs to test.

Configure the policy and work schedule, preserve required work access, and check the actual device result before a wider rollout. Already using Microsoft or Google? Test a specific gap in your current setup.

Company device management

Enroll and govern organization-managed computers and supported devices through structured policies.

Remote workforce governance

Apply consistent operating rules across distributed teams and remote-working environments.

Policy enforcement

Control supported applications, websites, schedules, and device access according to authorized business policy.

Workforce intelligence

Understand operational patterns and managed-device usage without building a covert-surveillance model.

Compliance visibility

Identify policy gaps, violations, and governance signals that require administrative action.

Scalable administration

Use groups, roles, device tiers, and governance modules as the organization expands.

Turn Workforce Intelligence into a practical team conversation

Review recorded app usage, reporting coverage, group trends and schedule context to identify a question worth investigating. Check classifications and device attribution with your team, agree a useful change and compare the relevant work outcome afterward. Availability depends on the Workforce Intelligence module, role permissions and reporting devices; activity totals do not measure employee output or attention.

Turn application usage into a practical team review

Review managed-device activity by app, domain, person and team, then follow recommendations to investigate classification or policy gaps.

  1. 1

    Define work context

Use schedules and classifications that reflect the team's actual responsibilities.

  2. 2

    Investigate exceptions

Review application and domain activity, coverage and recommendations rather than judging from a total alone.

  3. 3

    Agree on an action

Use the team review workflow to record follow-up and revisit the evidence with the team.

Choose the right platform and setup. Windows uses a service and signed-in session monitor. Android controls depend on agent or fully managed deployment and permissions. ChromeOS uses a managed browser extension; force-installation and GuardSphere enrollment are separate steps.Compare deployment paths.

Geofencing and device security

Give remote device reviews a useful location context

Define an office or approved operating area, assign the relevant managed devices and review reported boundary events alongside the work schedule. Geofencing can help administrators investigate an unexpected device location and plan an appropriate follow-up with a remote team.

  1. Explain the purpose and scope of authorized workforce monitoring, confirm appropriate notice and permissions, and restrict administrative access.
  2. Confirm the installed agent or extension supports the location workflow. Windows, Android and supported ChromeOS workflows have different enrollment, operating-system permissions and background-reporting requirements; verify the current deployment before relying on it.
  3. Check the report timestamp and location accuracy before interpreting an inside-or-outside result. A delayed or missing report calls for a connectivity, permission or device check.

The report describes a device at its recorded location, rather than proving where a person is now. Use it to support informed check-ins and device-security review. It is not continuous live tracking, an emergency service or a guarantee of child safety. A boundary event does not automatically change app access or lock a device.
